Teenage singing star impresses judges on America's Got Talent

"Bloody hell, Courtney!" exclaims Simon Cowell, once the 13-year-old has finished, describing her as a "lion" when she sings.

This week her audition from America's Got Talent went on TV and the result was pretty incredible!

And Howie hits the Golden Buzzer putting Courtney straight through to the Live Shows.

"I know this is a big stage and there's lots of people here but you are here for a reason, so go for it and good luck", America's Got Talent judge Mel B told a visibly nervous Courtney Hadwin just before her performance.

Sophie calls him "Mr. Simon". Watch the video to see her fantastic performance.

This wasn't Courtney's first time performing on television. "I'm Howie Mandel. The only thing I can do for you, young lady, is give you..."

The show, hosted by supermodel Tyra Banks, is on the lookout for acts of all ages, including singers, dancers, comedians, contortionists and impressionists, who are all vying to win America's hearts and $1 million.

America's Got Talent airs on Tuesday nights on NBC AT 8/7c.

And the young talent is no stranger to the limelight of TV, having already stared in the ITV's The Voice Kids a year ago.

Contestants competed to bag a family holiday to Disneyland and £30,000 towards their musical education.

For the rest of the song the audience are on their feet, as she belts out the 1968 song - and the performance finishes with a standing ovation from everyone in the auditorium. After she was done rocking out, the judges were quick to shower Courtney with praise.
