First 'Creed 2' Trailer Puts Adonis Back in the Ring

First 'Creed 2' Trailer Puts Adonis Back in the Ring

On that note, the gifted actor is stepping back into the ring for Creed 2 and Adonis will have to face his own history.

"I don't got a choice", declares Creed, to which his trainer and uncle Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) responds, "That's the same thing your father said and he died right here in my hands".

The poster features a stoic Adonis Creed, played by Michael B. Jordan, with shoulders back and fists clenched - serving as an intense first look at Creed II. Tessa Thompson also returns as Adonis' love interest, Bianca, and Coogler is on board as an executive producer.

Here's a synopsis: Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed.

On May 10, Rocky IV baddie Dolph Lundgren shared a snap from the Philadelphia set of himself in costume as Russia's steroid-abusing, former prize champion boxer, Ivan Drago. As he faces an opponent with ties to his family's past, Rocky is there by his side through it all.

We then hear more powerful words from another familiar voice: it's Sylvester Stallone's Rocky Balboa, Adonis' mentor, telling the ambitious fighter that there may be rules in the ring, but in the outside world, there's no directives or decrees anyone can follow - and that leaves people vulnerable to the "cheap shots" life takes at them. The film also stars Phylicia Rashad as Mary Anne, Wood Harris as Tony "Little Duke" Burton, and Andre Ward as Danny "Stuntman" Wheeler. Creed II will be distributed theatrically in the U.S.by MGM on November 21, 2018, and Warner Bros.
