Nigeria vs Iceland: Aguero begs Super Eagles to win for Argentina

Iceland has a point after drawing Argentina in the opener, while Nigeria was left frustrated in a 2-0 loss to Croatia.

The African nation will play Iceland at 11 a.m. ET on Friday in their second 2018 FIFA World Cup Group D game.

These two sides have never met in worldwide competition.

"We will not lose this game so I do not answer this question".

Weather forecasters are predicting heat of 32 degrees Celsius at kick-off on Friday, 10 degrees hotter than when Iceland pulled off its draw with Argentina. Nigeria has some talent but I think Iceland is just a step ahead so that's why I'm going to roll with an Iceland victory in this one.

Hallgrimsson has revealed that winger Johann Berg Gudmundsson isn't expected to recover in time to play.

Don't miss a moment of the World Cup!

Iceland drew their first ever World Cup game when they met Argentina.

Gernot Rohr's men went down to a 2-0 defeat against Croatia in their first game at the Kaliningrad Stadium last Saturday.

After a goalless first half, Ante Rebic opened the scoring in the 53rd minute. If they win this then Argentina could be in a bit of bother depending on results. However, I'm going to ride with Iceland to get the win here.

A win for Nigeria today against Iceland will, however, keep their hopes of qualifying alive.

Iceland's defense always is hard to break down, and that will remain the case against Nigeria.

While there is a possibility for Iceland to have a letdown here, and with Nigeria needing at least a point from this match, I can understand why the line is as tight as it is.
