Emilia Clarke says goodbye to Game of Thrones

Emilia Clarke says goodbye to Game of Thrones

The 31-year-old actress, who recently filmed her final scenes as Daenerys Targaryen in the fantasy world drama, praised the show's cast and crew as she posed for a selfie.

Then, on Sunday, Clarke posted a photograph of herself on Instagram with a message that inferred she was saying goodbye to Game of Thrones.

A few of Clarke's Game of Thrones co-stars left sentimental comments on the photo, including Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) who wrote, "Love u".

"It's been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I'd be able to live and the family I'll never stop missing ##lastseasonitis." she further added in her post.

- "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke's officially done being Mother of Dragons/Breaker of Chains/Aunt of a Guy She Has the Hots For. "Ever. And you've been incredible".

Last month, in her cover story with Vanity Fair, the actress revealed she'd already shot Daenerys's final onscreen moments. Or does "HOLY BALLS" just mean "I can't believe it's over"? It's going to be a unusual year saying goodbye to everyone and having last scenes with this person and that person. I think that they don't even trust us.

"I'd like to step away and enjoy the obscurity, cut my hair, make myself less recognisable as the character, and go do and some other things with a completely new look and tone", Harington told EW.
