Darwin Project Battle Royale Game Now Free on Xbox One

Darwin Project Battle Royale Game Now Free on Xbox One

Today we're having a peek at the insides of the July Xbox Update, and what it means to partake in its greatness.

According to Xbox, the point of FastStart is to give you the information you need to get to the game immediately, and not get stuck on the main menu while you wait for the download to finish. You can learn more about FastStart here. "FastStart works by identifying which files are needed to begin playing and prioritizes the download of those files first, enabling you to quickly jump into full-fidelity gameplay while the remainder of your title downloads in the background", said Major Nelson. The July update started rolling out to players yesterday, and with it comes some of the more eagerly awaited features like FastStart and Groups for games and apps.

However, there are two restrictions worth mentioning with FastStart - it's only available for "select" English-language games for now, and players will need to have at least a 20MB internet connection to take advantage of it. However, in the case of both consoles, it's a coin toss how much of the game is actually available to you when you reach the playable threshold. It will allow you to launch a game about twice as fast as you were able to before. "Groups" as they're called, can be added within My Games & Apps. They are also tied to one's Xbox Live account, so they can be used across multiple consoles. You can add groups to Home and Guide, and there should be one Group made as soon as your update is complete. You can now press the Y button anywhere on the dashboard to bring up the search box and look for Settings, Games, or products in the store. You can earn more fan gifts by levelling up!

Mixer streamers can now go full screen with their webcam while broadcasting. You can switch to full screen webcam broadcasting at any time you want.

The update is mostly concerned with making it easier for users to find content, as well as improving Mixer.
