Video Shows Woman Fall From SUV Into Busy Intersection

A harrowing video shows a woman falling out of a moving SUV at a busy Florida intersection on Monday before the driver exits his vehicle and helps her get back in the auto.

Hillsborough County Sheriff's officials said in a Tuesday news release that the 21-year-old woman had suffered road rash but had not sought medical attention.

Police said they wanted to locate the woman to make sure she was safe, in a tweet on Tuesday. They told police they had just left a nearby Walmart.

The freakish incident was caught on camera around Monday afternoon at an intersection in Tampa.

Detectives have categorized the case as an accidental injury.

Investigators say the video was taken Monday near Busch Gardens and shows the woman falling, then lying in the middle of the intersection.

Law enforcement authorities in Florida are looking for a woman who was caught on surveillance video falling out of a sports utility vehicle as it passed through a busy intersection.

The video was shared by the sheriff's office in hopes of getting the public's help in finding the woman.

In the video recorded Monday, the driver stopped, picked the seemingly unconscious and injured woman and put her back in the van.

But deputies did ask anyone with information "that may place the investigation in a different light" to call them. "We have checked hospitals and have canvassed the area with negative results", spokesman Danny Alvarez said.
