The mother told Agas she "jolted awake" after the horrific July 6 crash to see her husband slumped behind the wheel with his head resting on her chest.

A NJ woman has been left with a lifetime to wonder what will become.

The week-long trip to Ocean City, Maryland, was the real start of summer for the Trinidads, the latest iteration of a sun-, crab- and family-filled tradition that had endured even as four daughters hurtled toward adulthood. It struck the family's minivan head-on Friday afternoon.

Hubbard Jr., 44, of East New Market, Maryland, was driving a Ford F-350 when he crossed over a grassy median on Route 1 in Delaware, side-swiped another auto and plowed into the Toyota Sienna carrying the Bergen County family of six on Friday, Delaware State Police said in an updated press release Sunday. Also in the vehicle were his four daughters, ages 20, 17, and two 13-year-olds, who were not properly restrained, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Matriarch of the family, Mary Rose Ballocanag, 53, is now hospitalized with serious injuries, however, she is expected to survive. Her husband was a postal worker. The family's oldest daughter, Kaitlyn, was studying to become a nurse at the College of Mount Saint Vincent in the Bronx.

The alleged wrong-way driver in a DE crash that killed a father from New Jersey and his four daughters over the weekend has been identified. The girls' mother, Mary Rose, was the only survivor.

"He was proud to be an American", Daniel says. "This guy took it all away", said the girls' uncle, Danny Trinidad, 59, from the family's Teaneck, N.J., home.

'I'm trying to keep it together. We don't know how we will cope once reality sets in. "They go to church", he said said.

"They're a God-fearing family".

She is aware that her whole family has been killed. Their bodies in the morgue are unrecognizable'.

Officials in DE have identified the driver of the truck as a Maryland resident, but no charges have been filed. "I don't know how she's going to handle it".

'To lose four children in a crash ... it's just unheard of, ' she added. The impact caused both vehicles to end up in a ditch.

The truck had extensive damage to its front driver side and the passenger side was completely caved in.

It's still not clear why the Ford truck swerved across the median in Townsend, Delaware.

Northbound lanes remained closed into the evening as police investigated and the wreckage was cleared, with traffic diverted onto US 13.

Authorities in DE said the family was driving north on Route 1 in their minivan around 4 p.m. when a work truck crossed the center grass median, slammed into another vehicle and then collided with the minivan.

DuHadaway had been driving four cars behind the pickup when it clipped another auto, then became airborne as it struck the median. But their biggest concern was not her physical injuries.

Route 1 was closed for five hours on Friday evening as authorities worked to clean up debris.

The driver of the truck was hospitalized and released.
