Channel 4 to show new Sacha Baron Cohen series

Showtime, the channel that is set to air the new show in America, have described it as "shameless", "unhinged", and "cold-blooded", and that it might be "perhaps the most unsafe show in the history of television".

"Imagine Sacha Baron Cohen had been undercover filming a new show, for a year?" And on Sunday, Cohen released a teaser which confirmed that prank interviews will be part of the mysterious new show.

It's shocking, until you remember that Cheney doesn't consider simulated drowning torture and is also a heartless ghoul, so of course he has no problem signing a "waterboard kit".

"That's the first, that's the first I've ever signed a waterboard", Cheney remarks, presumably unaware that he was being filmed for a comedy show.

According to a press release from Showtime, the series will run for seven episodes and focus on the people of the United States of America, all across the political spectrum from non-players in the politics game to some pretty big names like Cheney. "He's back as you've never seen him before", a caption on the video said before the words "Sacha Graduates Soon" and the Trump University logo appear on screen. Then there's a flurry of images (including at least one that's NSFW) that ends with Cheney being hesitantly asked by Cohen to sign "a waterboard kit" and then autographing a water jug.

We've already written about Sacha Baron Cohen's latest project, although not much was known about it just a mere four days ago - all we had was a cryptic teaser.

"Sacha is a comedic genius who shocks you with his audacity, bravery and inventiveness", said Showtime Networks president/CEO David Nevins. Now, new posters and trailers give us a peek at Baron Cohen's new character, who is ready to mock America in the aptly titled series Who is America?

Last week, however, Cohen resurfaced on Twitter and posted a video of Trump urging him to "go to school, learn about being amusing".

Trump in the video also told Cohen to go back to school to learn how to be amusing.
