Jean Michael Seri in London to seal Premier League transfer

The Ivorian midfielder, a reported target for Arsenal and Chelsea this summer, has arrived in the capital rather than go on a pre-season tour with his Nice teammates with the Star reporting that he could be in the country to seal a big money move to the Premier League.

Seri, who has previously spent time at ASEC Mimosas and Pacos de Ferreira, has featured over 120 times for Nice, scoring 11 goals.

Seri is no stranger to speculation linking him with the Premier League and the Nice midfielder has been touted as a target for a number of top-flight clubs over the last few transfer windows.

However, according to claims from Nabil Djellit, a France Football journalist, Chelsea remain keen to recruit Seri from Nice as the race for his signature heats up.


The 26-year-old's performances have caught the attention of clubs here in the Premier League with Arsenal and Chelsea among those to be strongly linked with a move for the Ivory Coast global in recent months. Pending departure, for reminder, he is in contact with Arsenal, Chelsea.

The Gunners are set to sign Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria and youngster Matteo Guendouzi from Lorient but Emery could be eyeing another senior midfield addition and Seri has seemingly been on his radar.

It has been claimed that Seri is now in advanced talks to become a Chelsea player.

The Metro are reporting that Seri has a £35m release clause in his contract which expires on the 15th July which means any club sniffing round the talented play-maker needs to act fast.
