Kylie Jenner poised to become youngest billionaire ever

In just two years, since Kylie Cosmetics launched with just a $29 (£22) lip kit - a lipstick and lip liner - the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan has gone on to sell more than $630 million (£475 million) worth of make up.

Kylie Jenner's cosmetics company has seen her named among the richest self-made women in America, with Forbes estimating her net worth at close to the billion dollar mark, making her more wealthy than Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift combined!

And that's a conservative estimate.

According to Forbes, Jenner is on the cusp of becoming the youngest self-made billionaire in the world, a title Mark Zuckerberg earned at 23 years old.

"Social media is an fantastic platform", Jenner told the outlet about her brand strategy.

"Social media is an incredible platform; I have such easy access to my fans and my customers".

The other $100 million of revenue comes from profits generated from her appearances on her family's reality show and other social media endorsements.

"I struggled for a minute with finding something to do on my own", Jenner said, before adding, "ever since I was in sixth grade, I would wear purple eye shadow".

The youngest Jenner sister also reveals that she put up $250,000 of her own money to pay an outside company to make her first 15,000 lip kits. When Jenner made a decision to go into the beauty business, and make a career out of her biggest insecurity, she already had a massive number of followers to sell to.

Her last name is Jenner, as in, Kris and Caitlyn Jenner, her parents, who are very rich and very famous.

"Maybe one day [I'll] pass this on to Stormi, if she's into it", Kylie told the publication, adding that she plans on keeping the business going "forever".

There has always been rumors that Kylie Jenner's Kylie Cosmetics (the brand that launched the OG lip kit and a million copycats) was on its way to being a billion-dollar business, and now it appears that historic milestone is closer than ever. Forbes conservatively values the company at $800 million, with an estimated $330 million in sales a year ago.
