A man with no arms stabbed a tourist in Florida, police say

According to Miami Beach Police Department Jonathan Crenshaw, who is a native of Florida, stabbed 22-year-old Cesar Coronado twice with the scissors before running away from the crime scene.

The incident was reported in the 1600 block of Collins Avenue, according to the police report.

A homeless man with no arms has been charged with stabbing a tourist.

Crenshaw, who told police he acted in self-defense, was being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami.

Crenshaw told police he was lying down just after midnight Tuesday when Coronado kicked him in the head.

The publication has profiled Crenshaw in the past and found he has had multiple run-ins with police and other officials, including violent crime charges. Crenshaw then put the scissors in his waist band and took off, according to the report.

Interestingly, Crenshaw is known for painting colourful artworks using his feet, said a local news report.

The victim, Cesar Coronado, was admitted to a local hospital bleeding from his left arm, police said.

A friend who was travelling with Coronado said they asked Crenshaw for directions when he suddenly jumped up and stabbed Coronado in his arm. That's when the suspect, identified as Jonathan Crenshaw, 47, pulled out an unknown object and stabbed the male. His court date is scheduled for July 18.
