The Duke and Duchess of Sussex - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle - were also present at the ceremony.

Prince William and Kate Middleton kept up a family tradition for Prince Louis' christening party that might turn some stomachs.

And little Charlotte couldn't resist sticking her tongue out at crowds while stood alongside her brother - who also pulled a face or two. It is the latter that she had remade in a yellow colour for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, tweeted Monday that he was "delighted" to be christening the third child of Prince William and Catherine.

The Queen, 92, and the Duke of Edinburgh, 97, did not attend, in what was described as a "mutual decision" made some time ago. Princess Charlotte looked precious in a blue dress and matching headband while Prince George sported a short-sleeved white shirt and navy shorts.

The list includes Nicholas van Cutsem, former Etonian Harry Aubrey-Fletcher and Lady Laura Meade, who is the wife of royal wedding speech-maker James Meade.

Princess Charlotte took centre stage at her little brother Prince Louis's christening yesterday as she showed off her cheeky side. They were joined by Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.

In April, she delighted fans when she accompanied her father and brother to the Lindo Wing to meet Prince Louis for the first time and began waving as soon as she stepped out of the family vehicle. "It really was most thoughtful of you and greatly appreciated by Their Royal Highnesses who send you their very best wishes". At St James's Palace in London, nearly the entire gang (minus the Queen) was there to celebrate his big day-which he reportedly slept through completely.

The Duchess of Cambridge took the gorgeous look out of storage in the summer of 2016 for one of the Queen's famous garden parties at Buckingham Palace, though this time she wore a nude pump.

Following the church service, the guests were invited to a private tea at Clarence House, residence of Prince Charles and his wife Camilla.
