Second suspect arrested over murder of rapper XXXTentacion

Investigators say Michael Boatwright, 22, is one of the two armed suspects who wore masks and confronted Jahseh Onfroy, known as XXXTentacion, when he was killed on June 18.

Keyla Concepción, senior public information officer for the Broward County Sheriffs Office, said Williams "was charged with first-degree murder for his participation in the crime". Detectives are calling Boatwright a gunman in XXX's murder and are still looking for an additional gunman.

In June, deputies did not say exactly how they believe Allen was tied to the murder. The other gunman remains at large.

Onfroy was leaving the motorcycle shop when he was approached by two gunmen who then opened fire in an apparent robbery attempt, authorities had said. "Onfroy was transported to Broward Health North where he was pronounced dead", the news release continues.


As previously reported, Dedrick Williams was arrested and charged with the murder in June. His exact role in the shooting has not been publicly released. "[Detectives] want to find out what he knows about the murder", Broward Sheriff's Office wrote via its Facebook page when it announced Allen was a person of interest.

Shortly after XXXTentacion was shot, people in the area filmed his lifeless body.

Williams was allegedly driving an SUV that cut off the rapper's BMW as he attempted to leave the parking lot of the motorsports store, according to Williams' arrest warrant. The Broward Sheriff's Office Report notes that "Allen is also wanted in Broward County on a felony warrant for violation of probation for possession of PVP (flakka) and carrying a concealed firearm".
