When Fortnite Season 5 Downtime Will Begin

Could we see Norse god skins?

Epic Games will turn the servers offline today as they bring in the brand new season in their fortnightly content update.

Fortnite took the lead in terms of players and profits on PC and consoles as a platform early this year and has managed to hold it over PUBG.

With the ramp up to Fortnite's Season 5 nearly concluded, it's safe to say that Epic Games poured a lot of time and investment into promoting the mysterious content of the forthcoming event. Of course, Fortnite fans can only hope that what's to come in Season 5 will have been worth the wait. Season 5 will kick off Thursday, July 12th at 09:00 BST (04:00 EDT) according to a Reddit post from Epic Games' MrPopoTFS. Throw in the removal of the Durr Burger sign from the game as well as Epic flooding the real world with Loot Llamas appearing in Paris, London, and Cologne, hint at some massive shake ups for Season 5 of Fortnite. Because, lets face it, you was either asleep in the dead or night or crying into a pint glass because the world cup was no longer "coming home". And the teaser is basically a straightforward tweet saying, "Fortnite wow!"

One skin, for instance, is pretty much a female Viking, whilst another, which looks quite modern in truth is of a new character who is wearing that Japanese Kitsune mask or a Kabuki mask we saw previously. Bearded, tough looking, with a lot of front pockets for storing all his important ammo and such.

The teaser image dropped on Twitter shows a stylized axe similar to Viking and Scandinavian hatchets.
