Derby County sign youngsters Mason Mount and Harry Wilson on loan

Portsmouth-born Mason Mount has completed his move to Derby County.

The England Under-19 worldwide is expected to join Derby County on a season's loan after positive talks with Lampard, the club's new manager.

Midfielder Mount, 19, scored an impressive 14 goals on loan at Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem last term, while 21-year-old Wales global Wilson netted seven times in a short stint with Hull City.

However, Lampard has big plans for him at Derby, telling the club's website: "Harry brings incredible quality and hunger to the table here and he showed that past year while he was on loan at Hull". He has a real desire to come here and improve. "His numbers are incredible for someone so young".

"Liverpool always want the best for their players so between me, Liverpool and my agent, we made a decision to narrow it down to a few teams".

Chelsea and England have high hopes for Mount, who won the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in 2017 and was invited by Gareth Southgate to train with the senior squad prior to the World Cup.

His outstanding performances led to him being named as the club's player of the year.

"He can bring us creativity in the attacking midfield area, goals, assists as well as energy".

Wilson will now link up with former Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard who is taking his first steps into management at Derby.

"He was wanted across Europe by top, top, clubs and we should be very happy that we have got him".

Wilson famously shot to prominence after making his worldwide debut for Wales as a 16-year-old in 2013 against Belgium, despite the youngster having not yet played a senior match at club level.

The winger signed a new five-year deal at Anfield last week.

Derby County are reportedly closing on the signing of another of the Premier League starlets linked to Norwich City as a loan target.
