Xiaomi Mi Max 3: 6.9-inch display, 5,500mAh battery, and more

The phone will be able to recharge through its USB Type-C port and security will be handled through a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. If you opt for the 4GB RAM model, it will arrive with 64GB of internal storage, while the 6GB RAM variant will have 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone comes in three colour options of meteorite black, dream gold and dark blue.

Coming to the optics on the device, the Mi Max 3 has a dual-rear camera setup of 12 + 5 megapixel setup. "That could very well be the newly-minted Mi Max 3's battle cry, as it's the first "phone" from a popular line with a 6.99" display.

It measures 176.15 × 87.4 × 7.99 mm and weighs 221 grams.

Now to power all of this, the Mi Max3 will be packing an extremely large 5,500mAh battery. The event was expected to be a formal presentation ceremony for launching the Mi Max 3, which of course, the device deserves, considering the impressive features it packs but there is "One more thing". According to Xiaomi, the Mi Max 3 offers a screen-to-body ratio 85.19 percent. The handset is preinstalled with Android 8.1 Oreo and the latest edition of MIUI which also brings along Xiao AI voice assistant.

Chinese phone brand Xiaomi has launched the follow up to last year's Mi Max 2 (which we reviewed here). The newer Mi Max 3 has arrived with Snapdragon 636 that delivers 40 percent better performance than SD625.

The 12/5-megapixel camera on the back boasts f/1.9 aperture and 1.4µm pixel size. The smartphone will have the 8-megapixel camera for the front.

Notably, the lighter version of its new Mi model already went on sale via a third-party e-commerce listing in China.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Xiaomi confirms that both the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite will be launched at its global launch event on July 24 in Madrid, Spain. Also, stay tuned for the live updates of the events.
