Brad Pitt: I've given Angelina Jolie $9m since split

Brad Pitt, 54, met with his legal counsel "around the same time" that Angelina Jolie, 43, claimed in a court filing that her ex had "paid no meaningful child support" since they split up in September 2016, according to Us Weekly.

Pitt's attorneys said in the two-page document filed in Los Angeles Superior Court that he "adamantly disputes the contention that he has not paid significant child support". Pitt reportedly "loaned" Jolie $8 million to help her purchase a house and has since contributed $1.3 million in various bills and other benefits for the children.

On Tuesday, Jolie's legal team filed papers accusing Pitt of skirting his financial responsibilities to their six children: Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 10. It's not clear what child-support arrangements the couple has in place during the divorce process.

Previously the couple said they would finalise all issues, including custody, before the divorce was completed.

They also claim Jolie is attempting to manipulate media coverage.

The attorneys for Brad are calling BS, saying THEY were the ones who called Angelina's lawyers last week asking for exactly grant the divorce decree quickly and then later deal with child support and property settlement issues.

Mr Pitt's lawyers say the actor actually suggested this move and it had already been agreed to.

The papers say, "There is no need for a Case Management Conference to schedule a hearing or filing deadlines regarding child support". Jolie has sought sole custody of the children.

The incident was reported and Pitt was investigated by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, but was later cleared of wrongdoing.
