Digne hits back at tattoo talk

Everton new boy Lucas Digne's arrival on Merseyside has attracted a lot of attention from the Toffee's city rivals Liverpool, after it emerged that Marco Silva's new recruit has "I Never Walk Alone" tattooed across his chest.

Digne's former Barcelona team-mate Yerry Mina is a target for Everton, Manchester United and Wolves.

He had been linked with a departure from the club prior to the World Cup, but his performances in Russian Federation have increased his options and seen a variety of sides linked with him.

"I said yes, it's a very good project and I want to be part of this". Really I don't know.

"He is a high-quality player, aggressive, with good technical ability and in the past five seasons he has played two years at Paris St-Germain, one in Roma and for the past two seasons he has demonstrated his clear quality in Barcelona".

"The Premier League is a hard league and it is hard to get a win in any game, but we want to please the fans and make the fans happy and the way to do that is win games".

"My tattoo has a story but it's not about football". I said to him to come.

Digne also alludes that Liverpool fans are not happy with him after he said no twice to The Reds' move to sign him.

'When I go for my first day at school when I was three or four years old they gave me a necklace with these words on.

The 25 year old Frenchman made 46 appearances for the Spanish side over two seasons.

Spurs are still yet to bring in a new signing this summer, whilst all of the clubs in and around them in the table are spending lavishly.
