Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 has a much more useful DeX desktop mode

We already know the official Note 9 specs, and while very powerful, sit very firmly in the same ballpark as other high-end Android phones like the HTC U12 Plus, OnePlus 6, and Sony Xperia XZ2, so the exclusivity of the game should not be hardware reliant.

There's a new water carbon cooling system to help performance during games. As per the leak, the alleged price of the base variant, that comes with 128GB internal storage will be IDR 13,500,000 (roughly Rs 64,400). Instead of the Note 8's odd placement, the Note 9's fingerprint scanner is now positioned mercifully below the camera module. There are three different ways to interact with the button (press and hold, single tap, double tap), each of which will perform a new action depending on how you customize it. The Galaxy Note 9's front camera is able to capture images at an 8MPresolution, f/1.7 aperture width, and AutoFocus.

To start with the Samsung Galaxy Note9 has mostly retained the footprint of its predecessor but added a bigger 6.4-inch screen (notchless, naturally) and a 20% bigger 4,000mAh battery. It's still largely similar to the Note 8's S Pen, and it works just as well too. The S Pen has a range of 10 meters and a battery power of about 30 minutes (or 200 clicks).

At one end the company is targeting the device towards gaming users by launching Fortnite for Android with the Galaxy Note 9.

The Galaxy Note 9 brings a lot to the table compared to even the Galaxy Note 8, but Samsung has made a decision to go with a similar price tag for its new device. Well, that's because you can use the S Pen as a remote control. That means, if you combine the 512 GB card with a 512 GB Note 9, you're looking at a full terabyte of storage in your pocket.

However, not every color version will be available in every market at launch.

As for storage, there have been reports about a 512GB variant of the device. The real sticker shock comes with the 512GB model, which will set you back $1250. The company is offering anyone who preorders the phone between August 10th and August 23rd either a pair of AKG headphones (normally $299) or 15,000 V-Bucks in Fortnite (normally $150) for free.

In addition, the leaked "Galaxy" skin is also confirmed as an exclusive for Samsung Galaxy owners who download the game. If you simply can't choose between the two, you can also pay $99 and get both promotional offers (and still save a few hundred bucks).
