Barcelona have buy-back option in Yerry Mina Everton deal

With a little less than two hours left for Premier League sides to do deals, Everton are cutting it close but they remain confident of taking both deals over the line in time.

Everton have agreed a deal to sign Yerry Mina, the defender leaving Barcelona after an unhappy six-month spell in La Liga. It is the best league in the world.

Everton have signed André Gomes on loan from Barcelona.

Mina had always been linked with a move away from Barcelona this summer with the club's purchases of non-EU players in Malcom, Arthur and Arturo Vidal filling their quote per La Liga's rules. When I found out about this opportunity and what the manager wanted out of me I was happy.

Mina, who impressed for Colombia at this summer's World Cup, had been pursued hard by the Blues since his exploits in Russian Federation.

The Everton deals come as a frantic end to what has been a superb transfer window for the Toffees, with the club also bringing in Lucas Digne and Richarlison. The Colombian defender completed a dream move to Barcelona in the January transfer window, but could never manage to establish himself as a regular in the first-team squad.

The new players could take a while to adapt to their new surroundings, but it is imperative that Everton start the season strongly and pick up important points in the opening weeks of the 2018-19 campaign.

"Everton is a club with a great structure and a lot of tradition, historically the fourth most successful club in England".
