Brad Pitt says he has given Angelina Jolie millions since split

Following court papers filed by Ange on Tuesday claiming Brad hasn't paid any "meaningful" child support for their six children - Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 11 and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - in 18 months, the World War Z actor has debunked his estranged wife's claims.

Pitt's attorneys said in the two-page document filed in Los Angeles Superior Court that he "adamantly disputes the contention that he has not paid significant child support".

The 54-year-old's camp branded Ange's child support claims "calculated", "unnecessary" and a "thinly-veiled effort to manipulate media coverage".

In the latest round of bitter accusations between the Hollywood power couple once known as Brangelina, Pitt's attorneys said the actor had paid over $1.3 million in bills for Jolie and their six children since their 2016 separation.

He submitted paperwork detailing the funds Pitt has handed over to date, revealing he "loaned" his estranged wife $8 million to buy the house she and their kids are now living in, and has paid in excess of $1.3 million "in bills for the benefit of (Jolie) and the minor children".

"Given that the informal arrangements around the payment of the children's expenses have not been regularly sustained. for over a year and a half, [Jolie] intends to file. for the establishment of a retroactive child support order", the documents stated. Neither side specified what those issues were.

According to The Richest, Jolie's net worth is $160 million while Pitt's is $260 million.

Brad's attorneys say the actress' request for a status conference on child support is unneeded because they already have one set up for August 21.

The Maleficent star filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016, after two years of marriage and 12 years together, citing irreconcilable differences.

Custody issues have proved to be the biggest stumbling block in legally ending the Jolie-Pitt marriage.

Angelina Jolie, left, and Brad Pitt arrive at the 2015 AFI Fest opening night premiere of "By The Sea" in Los Angeles. They say her lawyers said they'd discuss the matter with their client, and then Angelina made it look like it was SHE who wanted the quickie divorce.
