Mina, Gomes: Everton sign Barça pair, plus Shakhtar's Bernard

That is why I made my choice, because of the confidence both the manager and the club showed in me.

"I know about Everton's players and I look forward to being able to play with my new team".

Everton had a Deadline Day to remember after pulling off the triple capture of Bernard, Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes.

There was a predictably frantic conclusion to the last hours of business, the Premier League waiting to register ten players after the 5pm deadline, deal sheets submitted pending medicals and the agreement of personal terms.

"I spoke with Andre (Gomes), too".

The Brazilian signed from Watford in a mega deal earlier this summer.

Everton had a dramatic end to the window, wrapping up deals for Bernard - the Brazil worldwide who arrived on a free from Shakthar Donetsk - and Andre Gomes, the Portuguese midfielder who had also been at Barcelona.

The 23-year-old had been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United but the Toffees have won the race, shelling out almost £30million.

He has played 14 times for Brazil, scoring once, with his last global appearance coming at the 2014 World Cup.

The Spanish champions have a buy-back option in the deal, which comes little over six months since he arrived from Brazilian side Palmeiras. I have spoken a lot to the coach and I know his passion for Everton and determination to be successful.

Having not had any game time since scoring in Colombia's loss to England in the World Cup Round of 16, it is thought Mina would be lacking match fitness.

"I can promise I will try my hardest and dedicate myself to my work and to trying to make things happen for Everton".
