Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang can win Golden Boot insists Unai Emery

Arsenal's main concern going into the weekend will be the fitness of Aaron Ramsey.

However, Arsenal have a few problems of their own, especially at left-back. Bosnian Sead Kolasinac is out for two months with a knee injury and Nacho Monreal isn't yet match fit.

Will Bernardo Silva become a Manchester City regular this season?

The pair missed the Community Shield last week after returning to training late following the World Cup. I'm not sure Danny Welbeck at left-back was quite the change they expected when Emery was announced as their new manager but hey, needs must.

"I said to him when he [Welbeck] arrived with us after the holidays, I want the best performance in his career from this player - and to work for that", he said.

Emery faced Pep Guardiola regularly when they were in charge of Valencia and Barcelona respectively.

Emery ended by confirming that he will make a late decision on Sunday on who he might start. But, owing to match fitness and sharpness, Maitland-Niles could well start.

He faces a Guardiola who is now fully into the swing of things at Manchester City and had an unparalleled domestic campaign previous year where City racked up 100 points. But, he has failed to make a good first-impression, largely thanks to his wobbly form in the pre-season. The Gunners aren't anywhere close to being title contenders this season, but the club's fanbase surely is hoping for an uptick in performances even though the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have stronger squads at their disposal. Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira are options there, as Emery will want the second midfielder to be the anchorman for the team.

Tactically, it would be more of the same for Manchester City - their fluid transitions and quick executions of intricate passing moves are likely to get more precise.

While Sokratis will be the tasked with the responsibility of stopping Sergio Aguero, the onus will be on John Stones to deal with the sheer pace of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
