Ingraham Denies Saying Anything Racist In Her Televised Racist Segment

During her Thursday "Ingraham Angle" on Fox News Channel, Laura Ingraham addressed pushback and misrepresentations of her remarks from Thursday where she explained how America was changing with the shift in how Democrats view immigration. She bemoaned that fact that "the America we know and love doesn't exist anymore", going on to say that this is the result of "massive demographic changes" that she says "have been foisted on the American people, and they are changes that none of us ever voted for, and most of us don't like". "And despite what some may be contending, I made explicitly clear that my commentary had nothing to do with race or ethnicity, but rather a shared goal of keeping America safe, and her citizens safe and prosperous".

CNN's Van Jones said Friday that he sees "zero difference" between Fox News host Laura Ingraham slamming "demographic changes" in the US and the beliefs of white supremacists. "It's the "who" for them, not just the 'how.'" Cuomo's grandparents were immigrants, he said, and he refuses to let immigrants "be discounted as some abhorrent aspect of a pure place". We wouldn't have to endure her career of hate if it wasn't for immigration. "America does not need to become great again".

The Fox News host faced backlash for her comments including from other media personalities and Democrats such as Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.). From Virginia to California, we see stark examples of how radically, in some ways, the country has changed. Hogg responded by tweeting a list of companies that advertised on Ingraham's show and encouraging people to contact them to complain.

Hogg called for a second boycott in June after Ingraham described detention centers at the US-Mexico border used to hold immigrant children separated from their parents under the Trump administration's "zero tolerance" policy as being like "summer camps".
