Arsenal v Manchester City

Arsenal v Manchester City

The opening weekend of the Premier League has thrown up a very appealing contest as Arsenal take on Manchester City at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking at his press conference ahead of the Premier League opener between Manchester United and Leicester on Friday, Mourinho was in a defensive mood about the criticism his United team got for finishing behind a massive 19 points behind Pep Guardiola's record-breaking City side. Apart from signing the tall centre-back, the Toffees who had an active window sealed a season-long loan deal for midfielder Andre Gomes (2.25million) also from Barcelona and Brazilian winger Bernard on a four-year deal from Shakhtar Donestk.

"We won the triple and, since then, we are the favourites, so thank you - you are so kind!" "If we play good and are consistent like last season, we have a chance to repeat".

After describing himself as more of a head coach than a manager nowadays, the Red Devils boss refused to brand his side title challengers just yet. We gave our best, it was a hard team against a great team.

"I said many times, we can not spend every season what we spent last season".

"I am so happy with the team and, from last season, I said maybe one more player, maybe two".

The interior designers recruited into The Theatre of Dreams have obviously been more productive than chairman Ed Woodward this season in giving United a makeover, and the results are sure to make the rest of the Premier League green with envy, radiating class and sophistication.

"We [already] spent a lot on young, young players for the next seasons".

"Raheem and Kevin arrived in a ideal way", added the City boss.
