Greek cat sanctuary hiring caretaker to live on island, supervise 55 cats

"You will at times be expected to trap or handle a feral or non-sociable cat ... so cat whispering skills should come natural to you".

God's Little People Cat Rescue in Syros, Greece is looking for a caretaker for when the owner needs to be away.

If you love cats and kittens, as well as being on a sunny Greek island then this is certainly the most ideal job for you.

The couple who now run the sanctuary have made a decision to move on and are offering someone to take their place for £320 a month for part-time hours.

The rescue now houses 55 cats.

If you love cats and island living, your dream job has officially arrived.

In return for looking after the cats, you'll get to stay in a semi-detached little house with its own garden (rent, water, and electricity all paid for) plus a small salary.

The job? Caring for up to 70 cats amounting to four hours of work per day.

Those looking to apply must also be able to drive a manual vehicle, as that's all that is provided on the island.

"We are located in a secluded nature preserved area which is very tranquil and quiet in the winter time but busy during the summer".

Joan added that the job is suitable for someone 45+ years of age, who's "responsible, reliable, honest, practically inclined - and really, with a heart of gold".
