Paul Pogba's Latest Comments Hint At Troubled Relationship With Mourinho

Given the tension between him and manager Jose Mourinho that probably emboldened Pogba to feel able to state after the Premier League win over Leicester City, in which he scored a penalty, that he would be fined if he told the truth about his state of mind at Old Trafford.

Pogba captained United - a move regarded as an olive branch from Mourinho who also praised his performance - but hinted at problems with the manager by also failing to mention him when praising fans and team-mates.

Pogba has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona in recent weeks, amid suggestions that he was disappointed by Mourinho's faint praise of his achievement as he played a pivotal role in helping France win the World Cup in Russian Federation this summer.

The two players Mourinho is said to have problems with the most at the moment are Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial.

Jose Mourinho has come out and called Paul Pogba a "monster" after his excellent display against Leicester City last night. That's all I say.

Asked about the differences between playing for France and playing for United, Pogba said: "I am the same, but it's a different team, obviously".

Pogba was pushed on his response and said that "if you're not happy, you can not give your best" when asked about what represents happiness and comfort for him.

Fabinho's arrival caused a stir due to reports Monaco had previously blocked the midfielder joining Manchester United, who had held a long-term interest in the player.

"We knew it was going to be hard because some of us, including myself, didn't have any pre-season games".

"When you have everybody with you, everybody next to you, you know they want to fight for you, obviously it's going to be easier", he said.

"I always give my best for the fans, for the team mates. and for the people that trust me".

"I always love the club (United)".

"I wonder if Jose's words the other day, "Let's wait until the end of November", I would be very surprised if United weren't top of the league come the end of November".
