Sergio Ramos Fires Back At Klopp As Champions League Row Continues

It's been almost three months since Real Madrid defeated Liverpool 3-1 in Kiev and it seems that two of the game's protagonists just aren't ready to move on.

In today's presser, Ramos was unwilling to end the feud, instead drawing attention to Klopp's record in finals and the fact he reckons that the Liverpool manager is not as acquainted with success as he is.

Klopp was critical of Ramos after Real's Champions League win for a challenge on Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah that injured his shoulder.

"Klopp had already branded Ramos "brutal" and "ruthless" in the past, and on 10 August he renewed his attack on the Spaniard, saying that he doesn't share Ramos" attitude to football.

"I do not expect that from him [Ramos], I only expect that he gives more thought to his assessment of certain situations", Klopp said.

'Let's see if he can say the same thing as a coach.

For now, Ramos' focus is on the UEFA Super Cup match against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday evening. "I have no intention of hurting a player deliberately", he said, according to BBC Sport.

He added: "He will be wanting to explain not winning the final, but it's not the first that he has lost".

Woah. Ramos takes this round.

Klopp returned to the issue last week, saying that he would rather be a "bad loser" than win like Ramos.

Footage from the press conference shows what Marcelo, sitting next to Ramos, thought of his teammate's comments.

The 32-year-old, who endured a disappointing World Cup this summer with Spain, received wide-ranging criticism following last season's Champions League final, in which his side beat Liverpool to claim their third title in a row.
