Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech criticises Bayer Leverkusen after tweets

The Spaniard spent and initial £19.6million on Germany worldwide Bernd Leno this summer, but the former Bayer Leverkusen star began his Arsenal career on the substitutes' bench as the Gunners were beaten 2-0 by champions Manchester City last Sunday.

Taking to his official Twitter account, the former Chelsea keeper wrote: "At Arsenal, we share important values which make us a big club, not only on the football side".

Asked if he is comfortable playing out from the back, Cech replied: "Yes, you play the best way for the team".

Emery's backroom staff are said to be in agreement with the Spaniard.

The new manager also wants to see what the club admits is a "historically poor" record of availability of players due to injury climb above 90 per cent. "Whether that means he's got the players already or he's going to have to bring them in throughout three or maybe four transfer windows, I believe he should get that and we should judge him then".

Impressive stuff, but will it be enough for him to earn a start on Saturday?

'I am very happy with his [Cech's] performance.

"We have one plan, we have one process".

The moment displayed on the video happened during the weekend match between Arsenal and Manchester City, which finished 0-2 to the visitors.

"We need to work hard, we need to work together and we need to suffer together when we lose". I think we can improve in each match, in each training.

Chelsea have problems of their own given the way they were brushed aside by City in the Community Shield meaning now might be the flawless time to catch Maurizio Sarri's men. "The two options we have now are Nacho Monreal and Lichtsteiner to continue in this position".
