"Motorola P30 with 6.2" Notch Display & 16MP Dual Cameras Launched in China

Ditching its otherwise chunky design (for better or for worse), the Motorola P30 is sleek, but if it wasn't for the fact that Motorola's logo was pasted on the front and back, you'd definitely confuse it for something else, because the Motorola nearly looks exactly like an iPhone X with the Huawei P20 Pro's paint job. The Motorola P30 comes with a pretty wide iPhone X-like display notch with along with an edge-to-edge display and a ceramic design.

With the launch of Motorola P30, the list of smartphones that mimic the notch-style design of iPhone X continues to grow. Even the Lenovo Z5 also looked similar to Motorola P30 and came with few similar specifications. Given its price we think this could be a great little phone, if you're in China, and we'll wait to see what changes if any are brought to the handset when it goes worldwide.

So there's the Motorola P30. As of now, the Motorola P30 is only limited to the Chinese market. The device will be available in Black, White, Blue + Purple gradient colors.

This being sold as a China-only device right now means that it will use ZUI 4.0 as a software skin, laid atop Android 8.0 Oreo. It will be available later this month for ¥2,099 ($300) and ¥2,499 ($360), for the 6GB/64GB version, and 6GB/128GB variant respectively.

Display: The Motorola P30 sports a 6.2-inch FHD+ (2248×1080) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood is the 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform coupled with 6GB of RAM and Adreno 509 GPU. Internally it has 64GB or 128GB of storage which can be expanded up to 256GB extra via microSD. In the camera department, the device sports dual rear cameras featuring a 16MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Around front there is a 12MP camera. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
