Real Madrid Report Inter Milan To Fifa Over Modric

The Croatia global, who captained his country to the 2018 World Cup final and was named Player of the Tournament, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu, with his agent openly flirting with the idea of his client moving to Italy in this transfer window.

Inter Milan said on Friday (Aug 17) they were ready to sue Spanish football league president Javier Tebas over comments he made concerning the Italian team's bid to sign Real Madrid's Croatian star Luka Modric this summer.

Inter boss Luciano Spalletti has admitted he would like to sign the 32-year-old, despite concerns about Inter staying within Financial Fair Play parameters.

Inter told BBC Sport the complaint is "based on circumstantial evidence".

But Vrsaljko said, "As for Luka, he's a friend of mine and I really respect him, so I've never asked him about private things". We're a strong side.

Emilio Butragueno, Real Madrid's director of institutional relations, when asked about the midfielder's situation after the European Super Cup in Tallinn on Wednesday night, said: "There is no issue with Modric, and he couldn't be happier to continue with us".

Modric joined Real from Tottenham in 2012 and has won La Liga once and the Champions League four times with the club.
