Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang speaks out on horror miss during Chelsea defeat

The Gunners lost their second Premier League match in a row under their new head coach thanks to a late victor from Marcos Alonso, after they had fought back from 2-0 down to head into half-time at 2-2.

It's a courageous show of loyalty from Emery to say he'll stick with Cech; it's now down to the Blues to prove the Spaniard wrong - and there's definitely a good chance of that.

The defeat means Arsenal have lost their first two league games of the season for the first time since 1992, but Emery insisted there is no reason to panic. Emery who is believed to be more defensive minded than Arsene Wenger has introduced a new philosophy of playing out from the back, encouraging his players to press across the pitch, demanding more from his forwards as he looks to defend from the front. With that, I want to do the balance between the attacking and the defensive moments because I think we conceded a lot to Chelsea and in the second half we need to keep control of the match, with the ball and with the positioning. "He is working very well, he played well in pre-season, too, but he has to wait for his chance to arrive".

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a few good chances in the first half, but sadly for Gunners fans, he could not convert any of them.

First, I am calm when I see my team creating chances.

It was Sarri's men who looked the most likely to break the deadlock in a more scrappy second half, though, and they did just that with 81 minutes played, as Alonso finished with aplomb after fine work from substitute Hazard.

Emery made the decision to start Cech ahead of his summer signing for the visit of Manchester City on Sunday afternoon. I chose to change it because I think we needed a little more of a push in the middle, so that we couldn't let Chelsea progress easily with the ball.

After the game, he tweeted: "Today I missed; tomorrow Must Be better!" But I'm happy with Mesut. "I want to continue the process to build our team".
