Battlefield 5’s battle royale mode is called Firestorm - come watch the trailer

As of now, there are no solos or duos in Firestorm.

Officially revealed in a new trailer that dropped on Tuesday, September 4, the battle royale mode will feature the biggest map ever released in Battlefield's history.

In a new trailer loaded with an incredible amount of PR speak, we've finally gotten some details on how Battlefield V's battle royale mode will play out. As the titular storm of fire closes in on the map, you'll be able to get the full Battlefield V experience out of this mode, including destructible buildings and driveable vehicles. However, it was said that general DX12 performance in Battlefield V will be similar to that in Battlefield 1.

The trailer also details "Battlefield V's" other multiplayer features.

The trailer talks about "eight unexplored settings", but they seem pretty explored to me. Taking players through various theaters of war throughout WWII, War Stories are smaller slices of singleplayer missions that will consist of four main chapters (three not including the prologue) as well as a post-launch chapter.

Alongside, DICE also shed light on single-player and post-launch content. It takes place in France and will deliver a steady stream of daily and weekly events.

Last week, DICE announced it's pushing back "Battlefield V's" launch date to November 20 so it can make some "meaningful improvements" to the core gameplay experience. A second untitled chapter was also announced for 2019 and will "see the resistance rise up to take on the Axis threat", debuting a new location in Greece.
