Nicki Minaj Says She’s Donating $25,000 To Geoffrey Owens

Nicki said during an interview that Owens is a legend and that she would personally donate $25000.

Owen said "I texted my son and warned him about the story breaking and I also apologized to him for embarrassing him "and he responded back with a attractive text about how proud he was of him".

A representative for Owens told CNN that he has accepted a job offer from Tyler Perry, who tweeted earlier this week that he wanted Owens to appear on his OWN television show, "The Haves and The Have Nots".

Minaj also called out Karma Lawrence, the woman who took Owens' photo at a Trader Joe's in New Jersey where he was bagging groceries.

"Why you want to embarrass this hard-working man?" she asked, adding "Y'all don't know how hard it is to keep getting jobs...and you want to put somebody up on the fu**ing internet?"

Throughout the Labor Day weekend, Cosby Show star, Geoffrey Owens, was the topic of discussion after a fan recorded him while on duty as a Trader Joe's cashier.

The 57-year-old, who played Elvin Tiabideaux on the groundbreaking television show between 1985 and 1992, revealed he is now evaluating a "whole handful" of television gigs. "Y'all don't know how hard it is to keep getting jobs. and you want to put somebody up on the f--ing internet?"

Also, do not forget to like CarterMatt on Facebook in the event you want some other information and news regarding the series. We know that Owens was hesitant to take a role that he got just because of his viral fame, but we imagine that he and Perry had some great conversations about this before he agreed to take the job.

On Tuesday, ET sat down with Owens to discuss the offer and the prospect of working with Perry. Like, really? Are you actually saying come work with me?
