Sean McVay's locker room speech, Marcus Peters earns game ball

DerekCarr #4 of the Oakland Raiders grabs his ankle after a play against the Los Angeles Rams during their National Football League game at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on September 10, 2018 in Oakland, California.

"I did the Beast Mode", Peters said after the game.

"The Rams acquired Marcus Peters in the offseason to help overhaul a secondary that held the Raiders' wide receivers without a catch in the second half of Monday night's win".

Rams head coach Sean McVay may have dodged a bullet having kept his star players sidelined for the preseason.

If anything was apparent Monday in the Rams' 33-13 victory over the Raiders at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, it was that the made-over defense needed at least a half to come together and knock off any rust. "We'll take a good look at the reasons why we didn't". A report surfaced recently that the Rams offered the Raiders a "pretty aggressive" trade package for Mack, which Oakland declined.

"We are just getting started, you feel me?"

According to Schefter, Mack only would have been in L.A. for one season, as the Rams, who just signed Aaron Donald to a massive contract extension, wouldn't have been able to pay him.

Peters now has 20 interceptions in 46 career games played. He never showed up for an OTA, he never showed up for training camp, and it was obvious he wasn't going to show up for the season. "We've got to go out and execute a lot better on the field".
