Boateng reveals reason for turning down Mourinho and Man Utd

Yes, the summer window may have long since closed, but speculation about Manchester United eyeing some silly money move for a player they probably won't actually sign is never ever too far away.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup victor was heavily linked with the Red Devils and Paris Saint-Germain in the latest transfer window, but a move away from the German giants did not materialise.

Mourinho was adamant on bringing another centre-back to Old Trafford, with Harry Maguire also viewed as a target.

According to a UK Sun report, the 25-year-old Pogba, is constantly under attack at Premier League side Manchester United since returning to Old Trafford in 2016, with reports suggesting the France worldwide is unhappy working with Red Devils' Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho.

The Mirror reported last month that United held talks with Bayern Munich over a potential £44.5m deal to sign the German World Cup victor following their friendly at the Allianz Arena in early August but once again they failed to get a deal agreed.

According to reports in Italian press, Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho is interested in signing Juventus superstar, Paulo Dybala for a huge $107 million.

According to English news outlet Metro, Boateng revealed that he also spoke to Jose Mourinho on phone and explained why he couldn't leave the German champions.

"I had enquiries from PSG and Manchester United", Boateng told Bild via Metro.

"Not because I wanted to leave Bayern Munich by all means".

One of these big clubs was Manchester United.
