Jalen Ramsey will knock down anyone on the field, including his grandmother

Jalen Ramsey will knock down anyone on the field, including his grandmother

Curran, one of the most plugged-in reporters in the Patriots organization, and he'll tell you that the scenario isn't as insane as it sounds. He said Joe Flacco "sucks", that Matt Ryan is "overrated", that Ben Roethlisberger is "decent at best", and that Josh Allen is "trash".

"I don't think Gronk's good". "Any time Gronk has been matched up with a corner, he's had a very bad game - and that corner has had a very good game".

Before the Patriots game, he explains, he had the Jaguars' analytics staffers pull some numbers for him.

Brady and Ramsey did get into it before the AFC Championship game previous year and this is the first meeting between the two sides since the Patriots beat the Jaguars to earn a berth in the Super Bowl.

It's all added extra fuel to the budding rivalry as New England prepares to visit Jacksonville on Sunday. Four days ahead of the rematch, Gronkowski was asked about Ramsey's remarks. I would say it's not a team goal at all. "I like going versus D-lineman, not in the blocking game, but when they drop in the passing game".

"He's focused always. He gets going sometimes out on the field, I've seen him". I'm just preparing like I always prepare.

"I think it raises everybody's game, as long as it doesn't get to point where you do something stupid", Brady said.

But Ramsey spoke to reporters on Thursday and sought to clarify his message a bit.

"I might be insane, I don't care", the cornerback said of those people who might think he's insane to suggest that Gronkowski is overrated.

"If it's one-on-one with him, if it's one-on-one versus anybody else, I've got to bring my game". I don't fear no man, period.

Ramsey also said Gronkowski did "literally nothing" during the AFC Championship.

"There's a lot of good trash-talkers in the league but I'll put him right up there for sure", Gronkowski said. "I'm gonna go out there and do whatever Coach asks me to do, to be honest". I'm very confident in all of my teammates on the defensive side of the ball. Their on-field feud went too far and the tight end delivered a forearm to the back of White's head after a play.

"When you play the game of football, I feel like, to respect the game, you have to play it fierce", Ramsey said. "You gotta play it - I don't believe in having friends on the field", Ramsey said. "If my brother, my dad, my mom or my grandma was out there, it's on". It's not a game meant to be played being nice to each other and all that kumbaya. Ramsey, who the Jaguars drafted 5th overall in 2016, has been unabashedly vocal about his criticisms of Gronkowski's game, most recently telling ESPN's Mina Kimes he doesn't think "Gronk's good".

"No, I definitely would".
