Liverpool legend Barnes says Klopp doesn't need to win trophies yet

This is something I've been thinking about through the first four matches, so I made a decision to break down some of the claims and perceptions and weigh them against reality.

"So far this season it has been win, win, win - which is brilliant", he said.

Returning to club football after worldwide breaks can be hard for players.

"We know Harry Kane very well and have worked with him for more than four years and we know it's not a situation that worries us".

If Manchester United can do that on Saturday, I can see them winning the game.

Of the top scorers in the competition a year ago, only Liverpool's forward line of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino matched Kane in terms of percentage of shots on target as the former Norwich loanee struck in vital games against Dortmund and Juventus during Spurs' impressive run.

"And if we can add the results of the odd bad day to it, you're going to be pretty close". We want to keep our performances the way they have been. "I am more thoughtful now".

"Hopefully this is our year because I've waited long enough". One of the early ones is scoring for Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League in a 4-2 home win.

'Of course, it's a big change from Stoke to Liverpool.

Evans is confident his old club now have the strength in depth that is required at the top level.

Barnes said in an interview with the Daily Star: "What's good now is Liverpool, with the harmony and the fact Klopp's there and everybody loves him, the trust in him and the way the team's playing, that's all I'm interested in". And at this point we'd have to say so far, so good.

The Spurs boss described the Reds, who top the Premier League having won all four games before the global break, as one of Europe's best sides during his pre-match press conference.
