Samsung reveals Galaxy event for October promising '4x fun'

The invite is to an event on October 11th, with the event to be live streamed as usual on the Samsung YouTube account and their samsung.com/galaxy site as well. The event invite says, "Samsung's newest Galaxy device is bringing more ways to express yourself than ever before".

Samsung will unveil a new Galaxy device on October 11.

As Samsung gets ready to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Galaxy S-series expectedly by launching the Galaxy S10 in 2019, rumours surrounding the upcoming smartphone are pouring in from all corners. When someone asked "both front and back", @UniversalIce responded with "all back".

While we don't know for sure, the event invitation hints at a new Galaxy A phone.

Alternatively, Samsung could also be referring to 4X optical zoom for a new Galaxy phone. Exactly what each of them will do remains to be seen. From the phrasing it sounds like the fun has a lot to do with cameras and imaging. But it seems pretty likely it'll be camera-related. I don't know, the number of colours that the Galaxy S10 is available in.

At the start of the month, Ice Universe, a prominent Samsung leaker with a reputation for being reliable, Tweeted that the company had a phone with four rear cameras in the works.
