Sterling fit for City v Fulham as contract negotiations drag on

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has said he would like to end his coaching career where it began, with Barcelona's reserves.

De Bruyne, who joined City from Wolfsburg in 2015, signed a six-year deal at The Etihad in January.

"City wanted me", he says in an interview for the Premier League Show.

Manchester City's quest to break into the European elite hit a symbolic mark on Thursday when the club announced record revenues of £500.5m in their 2017-18 annual report.

Asked if De Bruyne has a release clause, Guardiola said: "No I don't think so".

The club's facilities have also been transformed with state-of-the-art training facilities.

City reported profits of £10.4million, a fourth consecutive year of profitability, with wages to revenue ratio falling to 52 percent. And after that it is the club and Raheem's agent.

"The important thing in that case is that we feel [Sterling] wants to stay and he knows we want him to stay longer". "[Leeds United boss] Marcelo Bielsa told me he was his favourite player".

"We recognise that the sporting challenge continues".

Guardiola is expecting a hard afternoon as unbeaten City resume their title defence following the worldwide break against the promoted Cottagers, who have collected four points in their last two games. "Usually, there is not too much time to watch opponents but in this case, we have had two weeks", the Spaniard said in his pre-match press conference.

Liverpool could see themselves win the English top Flight this season as they were the only weakness the defending champions have. "In football mistakes exist but I really care about our quantity of mistakes", the Serbian manager added.
