Kristen Bell Confirms 'Veronica Mars' Return To Hulu

Original series creator Rob Thomas will executive produce and write the first episode.

It is set to premiere on the streaming service sometime in 2019. Kristen Bell posted a video to Twitter today, making the announcement.

As part of the deal with Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution for the SVOD rights to all past episodes of the original series. Fans can stream seasons 1-3, as well as the 2014 feature film, beginning in summer 2019.

Bell also stars in NBC comedy The Good Place, which will premiere its third season September 27, hosts the web series Momsplaining with Kristen Bell and recently appeared in the Netflix comedy Like Father.

Veronica Mars ran for three seasons from 2004 to 2007, and was resurrected for a movie in 2014. However, she also took on an assortment of smaller cases against the backdrop of the larger story.

Fans can look forward to eight new episodes in the new season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In 2013, Thomas and Bell announced they were launching a Kickstarter campaign to fund a feature film continuation of the series.

However, once her investigation is underway, Veronica will once gain find herself drawn into Neptune's turbulent class divide, where the town's wealthy elite would be more than happy to see all of the town's spring breakers go away, while its working class citizens depend on the annual tourist revenue.

Jason Dohring, Enrico Colantoni, Percy Daggs III, Francis Capra, Ryan Hansen, Teddy Dunn, Michael Muhney, and Tina Majorino also returned for the Veronica Mars movie. Thank you to @hulu for the opportunity.
