Plastic Jesus put Donald Trump's Hollywood star behind bars

One way or another, President Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame continues to be a battleground for political debate.

The president's WOF star was locked down after a street artist, who goes by the name Plastic Jesus, attached bars to the star.

The artist told artnet that they did it because 'there have been calls to jail Trump since the day he was elected'.

"Well, 'cause (Trump's) going to jail", he said. Plastic Jesus said the "protest art was meant to be humorous".

As all good things must come to an end, it didn't take long for the lovely exhibit to infuriate some absolute fun-sponge Trump supporters. Boo.

Apparently, a Trump supporter tried removing the bars, to no avail.

In 2016, the artist surrounded Trump's star with a six-inch wall as a protest to Trump's call for a wall to be built on the USA border with Mexico. According to Los Angeles prosecutors, Clay destroyed the star with a pickax on July 25 and now faces up to three years in prison if convicted.

The West Hollywood City Council voted unanimously for Trump's star to be removed in August, but no action has been taken.

Trump's Hollywood star has been attacked numerous times ever since he announced his run for presidency.
