Nokia 5.1 Plus Unboxing & First Look

The Nokia 5.1 Plus sports a 5.86-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and an 84 percent screen-to-body ratio. The Nokia 5.1 Plus is priced very aggressively at Rs 10,999.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus has a 5.8-inch LCD with a resolution of 1520x720. At the moment, HMD has launched the device in only one variant, but the premium variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage could arrive at a later date. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 SoC (four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz) coupled with 3GB of RAM. The memory can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot.

Talking about the performance of the phone, Ajey Mehta, Vice-President and Country Head of HMD Global India said "with Nokia 5.1 Plus we wanted to bring a phone that was high on performance that could get exciting gaming and entertainment experiences closer to a wider group of fans". It also boasts of a 5MP rear camera with auto-focus, digital zoom and LED flash, along with a 2MP front camera with fixed-focus and selfie light.Moto C Plus, on the other hand, is powered by a 4000mAh battery and comes with an 8MP rear camera with dual-LED flash f/2.2 aperture, 1.12 micron pixels, autofocus, 71-degree field of view and an LED flash. HMD is betting big on the rear cameras of the 5.1 Plus which work on AI. The front-facing camera has an 8-megapixel unit. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Android One that promises three years of major updates and three years of security updates. Delivery begins starting October 1.

Digit is India's most popular technology media brand across print, online and social media. The device will be sold exclusively on and Flipkart. Nokia 5.1 Plus will be available in two colours Gloss Black and Gloss Midnight Blue. Airtel customers can receive Rs 1,800 instant cashback and 240 GB data over 12 months on plans of Rs 199, Rs 249 and Rs 448.
