Cleveland Cavaliers are interested in trading for Jimmy Butler

Thibodeau and Layden are excited about the team they have in the building.

Butler, a four-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA selection and four-time All-Defensive selection would immediately make the Miami Heat better on both sides of the floor, but especially on offence after they finished 20th in the league last season in that category. In fact, he is so ready for it to end that Taylor is willing to deal Butler himself if needed.

Sunday was full of Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star Jimmy Butler news that could be summed up as mass hysteria, we were involved in that craziness as well.

Wojnarowski is the same National Basketball Association insider that reported Jimmy Butler's three preferred trade destinations: the New York Knicks, the Brooklyn Nets, and the Los Angeles Clippers. Now the team is back in the building for 2018 Media Day.

Butler will be a free agent after this season and has told Thibodeau that, if kept, he will not be re-signing with a team that features young stars Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins, with whom he has clashed.

With the Spurs and Lakers makng the biggest splashes this offseason with getting DeMar DeRozan and LeBron James, they should be the most realistic teams to acquire Butler out of the five in this post that will actually re-sign him next offseason.

Their loose pieces in Kyle Korver, Jordan Clarkson, Cedi Osman, and Larry Nance Jr. simply don't generate enough to warrant an equal trade, making this a likely impasse to get a deal done. Minnesota owner Glen Taylor "prefers to find a deal by early this week", Wojnarowski added. A deal between Cleveland and Minnesota would be much more hard to figure out largely due to the number of bad contracts the Cavs have.

This isn't the first time the Cavaliers have inquired about Jimmy Butler. "That was made clear".
