Mourinho reveals board backing after United's stunning win over Newcastle

The agent for Zinedine Zidane said the former Real Madrid coach is not interested in managing in England amid persistent reports that he will replace Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

For the third time this season, United shipped two goals in a five minute burst, but this time the double blow was landed in just the first 10 minutes.

The Old Trafford side though were inspired in the second half and goals from Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and under pressure Alexis Sanchez led to a dramatic turnaround as the 13 time Premier League champions scored three in 20 minutes to take a win.

It was claimed Mourinho would be dismissed as United boss irrespective of his team's result at home to Newcastle United on Saturday evening. I can live with it.

"They had fresh legs and quality, and they were very strong at the end". "This is new, it makes me not just a better manager but even a better person". But while the result may have brought temporary relief to the team and its fans, and saved Jose Mourinho's job for the moment, it doesn't change the fact that things have gone desperately wrong at the club. Loose marking was reason for the first, as Kenedy was allowed far too much space to run into, compose himself and intricately fire past David De Gea.

Mourinho is subsequently expected to be in charge of United's visit to Chelsea after the global break.

"As a friend of mine was saying to me this morning, if tomorrow rains in London, it's my fault. And I have to be ready for this". "But it's my life that I love and I have worked for this since I was a kid and I will love it until my last day, so it's one more experience in my life". Victory saw United move up into eighth place in the table but still left them six points adrift of leaders Manchester City, who are away to Liverpool on Sunday. "I think the players showed they wanted to win the match".
