Did Mark Ruffalo Really Spoil AVENGERS 4's Title?

Did Mark Ruffalo Really Spoil AVENGERS 4's Title?

The actor, who is known to accidentally leak information from Marvel movies, chose to troll fans when he appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Avengers 4 is the biggest superhero sequel, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, which has created a huge buzz among fans months prior to its release.

According to, the move was due to Ruffalo disclosing the top-secret title and ending of the upcoming film when he was a guest on The Tonight Show on Saturday.

"Mark, you're fired", read the tweet of the @Russo_Brothers account. That was "off the record" homey. The actor playfully attempted to win his job back after revealing some spoilers from Avengers 4 recently. Ruffalo joked, "I've kind of got a punk rock soul and I felt like 'dude, everyone has tattoos". The actor then took to Twitter and requested Fallon to censor the reveal.

Given that this all seemed to be played for laughs, and the fact that Marvel hasn't delivered a word from on high, it's unlikely to be either one of these titles.

While Fallon did bleep the title, Marvel fans managed to remove the bleep and revealed that the title is "The Last Avenger".

"I believe Captain Marvel will still be in Avengers 4, possibly after the original Avengers reverse the snap, but she will not be a major player for the majority of the film".

The five-year gap also tracks with reports that Avengers 4 will feature an older Cassie Lang, daughter of Ant-Man, and some of the leaked concept art.
