Apple Watch Series 4 Crashing And Rebooting Due To Daylight Saving Bug

Apple Watch Series 4 Crashing And Rebooting Due To Daylight Saving Bug

There is an Activity Complication feature in the watch that shows users hour-by-hour data of exercise minutes, calories spent, and stand hours that create the Activity rings on the watch face.

Daylight Saving Time is a practise of advancing the clock an hour ahead during summer to save daylight and conserve energy.

This is caused by the Activity complication, which fails when the time changes by an hour. However, out of 24 hours, the particular watch face is reportedly not registering an hour or so worth of activities. We had daylight saving this morning at 2am where the clock was brought forward for an hour.

Apple remains, over the quarters, number one in the field of watches connected to it.

"I woke up this morning to a dead watch at 0% when it was at 70% last night before bed".

Apple was yet to release a bug-fix software update to resolve this issue. So far, the bug appears to be limited to the large activity complication. The most famous incident, back in 2010, caused alarms to go off at the wrong time.

Some owners had success removing the Inforgraph Modular face using the companion Watch iPhone app. Others did hard factory resets. It packs a bunch of cool new features, FDA-approved ECG included, and has a powerful new S4 processor, which is more than welcome.

The folks at MacRumors got their hands on the Nike+ Apple Watch Series 4 smartwatch and have shared a video on their site to reveal the design elements and specifications.

The Apple Watch Series 4 comes with a 30% bigger display.
