Huawei Mate 20 Pro snapped in striking Twilight shade

The Huawei Mate 20X will become official on October 16, alongside the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. This is the second time we've seen this shade so it's likely coming. We already know the Mate 20 series will debut the new 7nm Kirin 980 processor, which Huawei says is vastly superior to the flagship Kirin 970 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chips. The front shows the curved display surrounded by minimal bezels along the sides and bottom and at the top is one of the bigger notches we have seen.

Leaked images have also confirmed the Mate 20 phones will continue Huawei's partnership with Leica in the imaging department, with the Leica branding placed right above the main triple-camera module this year. In the middle of the display is a fingerprint - possibly showing the location of the in-display fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, the device is powered by the new Huawei Kirin 980 Octa-core SoC clocked. The Huawei Mate 20 is expected to cost somewhere around 750 euros, while the pro version of the smartphone should sell for 100 more euros at least. "In the heat of battle, stay cool with #HuaweiMate20X", the tweet reads. Talking about the Mate 20X, the teaser video hints the device to sport a larger display and a larger battery for a better gaming experience.

Anyone interested in the Mate 20 Pro or a gaming phone built by Huawei?

Whether this phone ends up arriving here in Australia is unknown but we expect it may come in some small volume at some stage.

It seems that there's not much mystery left in Huawei's October 16 event as tech-savvy buffs have come across most of the leaked key specifications, features and design of Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. Hopefully, we could bring you the news as they happen on the ground in London.
