Pokemon GO prepares for Sinnoh with important changes

The Sinnoh region is the location of the fourth generation of Pokemon games, Pokemon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum.

Pokemon Go's metagame is about to get a major overhaul in the coming weeks.

Niantic does not offer any hints about a release date for the first wave of Gen 4 (or the other upcoming stat and weather changes), so the community is still in conspiracy theory mode at this point.

Just a few hours ago, the official Pokemon and Niantic social media accounts uploaded and shared a sneak peek video showcasing Chimchar, Turtwig, Piplup, and a firing eye of the Legendary Pokemon Giratina. While it's a bit fancy that real-world weather can affect how many Pokemon appear in the game, it shouldn't be that drastic so Niantic is decreasing the effect a bit. Parks and nature reserves will also be home to more varied species and your chances of meeting more kinds of Pokemon over time and at different rates when you explore certain areas. CP and HP values, for example, will be adjusted going forward to improve game balance.

Pokemon Defense and Stamina values will be retroactively rebalanced, allowing highly defensive Pokemon to be valuable in battle by outlasting opponents rather than simply running out the clock.

Defense values have also been slightly retroactively reduced for most Pokemon.

A list of changes coming to Pokemon GO are below. GamePress predicts that Rhyperior and Mamoswine will be top tier attackers thanks to their impressive stats and access to strong attack moves. Don't be shy, let us know how far did you go and what do you think about the game nowadays.

The Sinnoh region is home to what is dubbed the fourth generation Pokemon.
