You can finally play Fortnite's Android beta without an invitation

Epic Games said today that Fortnite for Android no longer requires an invitation to play, meaning that anyone with a compatible device can try the hugely popular game. First of all, unlike Fortnite's iOS equivalent, the Android version of the game can not be downloaded through the Google Play Store. Speaking of Fortnite for Android, the game is actually available for select players, but not in all countries, and certainly not on all devices.

There's a long list of devices that can run the Fortnite Android beta. Galaxy Note 9 and Tab S4 users received unique Fortnite Galaxy skins for being part of the club.

Fortnite may have been on Android for only a short amount of time but you can bet that they will be making a fair amount of money from it. The main reason behind this is to avoid Google's 30 percent revenue cut. "The 30 percent store tax is a high cost in a world where game developers' 70 percent must cover all the cost of developing, operating, and supporting their games".

To play Fortnite for Android, you'll need to visit Fortnite.com from your Android phone. Besides Android, Fortnite is also available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, Mac, and iOS.
